This policy explains what A6 Relay ("we," "us") collects when you use the site or the interpretation product, and why. A6 Relay is currently in active testing and early access — this policy describes what the product actually does today, and we'll update it as it changes.
When you start a session, your microphone audio is streamed securely to a third-party cloud speech provider, which turns it into text — and, if you choose to hear translations, turns them back into speech. Your audio is processed in the cloud rather than on your device, but we don't record it or store it on our servers.
The text of what's said, and its translation, is processed by a third-party AI translation provider and stored with the session, along with basic technical information such as timing. This applies to every session, whether or not you have an account. We use it to show you the transcript, to apply trial limits, and to improve translation quality.
To improve quality, members of our team and professional translators working with us may review stored transcripts and correct translations. Corrected passages may be used to improve translations for everyone who uses A6 Relay.
If you have an account and choose to save a conversation, it's also stored against your account so you can view and edit it later.
If you create an account, we collect the name and email address you provide. Sign-in is handled by a managed authentication service, and we never store your password in plain text.
If you join the waitlist or send us a message through our contact form, we collect the email address (and, for contact messages, the name and message content) you provide, so we can follow up with you. We keep it private and don't sell or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We only use a cookie to keep you signed in, if you have an account. To understand how the site is used and improve it, we use privacy-friendly analytics that don't use cookies or store anything on your device, and don't track you across other sites. Analytics never include the content of your conversations. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
We use a small number of trusted providers to run A6 Relay: cloud speech recognition and speech synthesis, AI translation, database and authentication, analytics, and web hosting — plus the translators who help us review quality. Some of these providers may process data outside your country. We only share what each needs to do its job, and we don't sell your personal information.
We keep transcript, account, and waitlist data for as long as needed to run and improve the service, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. To see the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, reach out through our contact page.
A6 Relay is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
As A6 Relay moves from early access toward a full launch, this policy will be updated to reflect how the product actually works at the time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when that happens.
